Delete your account

How to do it

In the app

Tap your profile picture in the top corner, then "All settings".
Scroll to Danger zone at the bottom.
Tap "Delete my account" and confirm with your password.

Your account is deleted straight away. Removing the app from your phone does not delete it; this does.

On the website

Log in at pinpint.io.
Open Settings.
Under Danger zone, click "Delete my account" and confirm.

Also immediate. It is the same account as the app, so this deletes both.

By email

If you cannot log in, or would rather we did it, email danielhowley@outlook.ie with the subject "Delete my account", from the email address you signed up with.

We reply to confirm it is your account, then delete it within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

What is deleted

Your account, your profile and your profile photo
Your passport: the pubs you have visited, your ratings and your local
Every check-in
Your friends, and your one-to-one messages, on both sides of the conversation
Events you posted, and your place on anybody else's
A claim to run a pub, including the contact name and phone number you gave
Your notifications and your notification token

What is kept, without your name

A few things are about other people as much as about you, so they stay with your name taken off rather than disappearing from under them:

The drink prices you logged stay on the map, with nothing linking them to you
A pub crawl you created stays for the rest of the group
Messages you posted in a crawl's group thread stay, no longer attributed to you
A pub you suggested stays in the review queue
A report you filed stays as a moderation record

Nothing else is kept. The full detail, including how long each thing is held, is in the privacy policy.
