Child safety standards

PinPint is for adults. It has no tolerance at all for child sexual abuse and exploitation, and this page says what that means in practice: what is not allowed, how to report it, and what we do when someone does.

What is not allowed

Anywhere on PinPint, in the app or on this website, nobody may post, share, request or link to:

This covers everything a person can put in front of someone else here: profiles and profile pictures, direct messages, crawl group chats, events and their pictures, ratings and notes.

Who PinPint is for

You have to confirm you are 18 or over before an account can be created, and every social feature needs an account. There is nothing on PinPint made for children and no part of it is meant to be used by them.

If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.

How to report it

In the app or on the website

  1. Press and hold the message, profile, photo or event, or use the “⋯” button beside it.
  2. Choose Report.
  3. Pick “Sexual or explicit content” and say what you saw.

From the same menu you can block the person. Blocking is mutual and they are not told.

By email

Email danielhowley@outlook.ie with the subject “URGENT, Safety”. You do not need an account to do this.

Say where you saw it: the person's handle, the crawl or event, and roughly when. Please do not send us the image itself.

If a child is in danger right now, call the emergency services on 112 or 999 first. We cannot act as quickly as they can.

What we do

PinPint operates in Ireland and the United Kingdom and follows the child protection law of both, as well as the Google Play and Apple App Store policies on child safety.

Who to contact

The contact for PinPint's child safety practices, for anyone including regulators and law enforcement, is danielhowley@outlook.ie.

The rules that apply to everything else posted on PinPint are in section 4 of the terms.
